It’s the Monday after our most recent Hagsaeng Naebu meeting and I’m “fondly” looking at the raised bruises on both of my hands — an awesome souvenir from our new friend the beast. We had a blast, it was a great weekend with some really good learning – particularly on the five element forms.
I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to Master Pearson for taking time out of his week to spend with us. As always, his teaching was enlightening and engaging – we learned a lot Sir and your promise that practicing the forms will result in our progressing beyond them has really stuck with me. Thank you for your time and commitment.
I also want to thank my classmates…it was hard to pull this one together but we did it in the end! Thanks for not turning me in when it came to the sleeping arrangements and congratulations to Mr. Worden; you are an awesome addition to the team and we loved learning with you this weekend!
Lastly, I was checking out our stats today on our blog and it blew me away that we’ve almost reached 2500 hits since we launched in January! I have a student at Cornell who is also an avid blogger and we recently comparing “best practices.” She told me that she’s had almost 2,000 hits in a year and a half – so it seems we’re well ahead of the game. I’ve never done anything like this before and it’s just been awesome recording our experience and hearing from so many of you. A huge thank you to every single one of our readers. Thank you for following our journey and for offering your own insights and comments (especially Rose!). You have been delightfully provocative; making us think even more deeply about much of what we’re going through and learning. I know I speak for each of us in this expression of gratitude. Please continue to read and we always invite you to comment, ask questions, or get involved yourself. You should always feel free to email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s to another 2500 hits. Stay tuned as we bring you more posts between now and our next meeting on April 16th!
